I just started a strictly internet businees around a week ago, and I am curious to hear what the experiences have been from other internet business owners.
All topic-related stories are welcomed, but I am ideally looking for :
1. Internet businesses that opened within the last 2-3 years.
2. Retail (preferably clothing) related
How did your business do at the start? Was it dead and then started to build slowly? Did it start off hot and then die out? Did it start hot (or not) and has it pretty much stayed that way the entire time?
Nothing happens over night I dont care what it is. My Online businesses started off as pure crap and I had to work 2 full time jobs. But that was 3 years ago. Now im self employed. just remember when your in business for yourself to save as much money as you can or to invest in other things because their will always be up and down moments.
I have been trying to start my own internet based business for a long time now and i just cant seem to find anything that works. I have paid for several products that say that will easily help me start an online business with no success. None of the products have made me money and I even lost money in some situations. Please give me advice on a good way to start a legitimate internet based business. Thank You
Hey I feel your pain I had the same problem and it was very frustrating. By luck I happened to come across http://m875.blogspot.com/ this blog that gave me the solution to my problem I’m sure it will help you also. Everything this blog teaches is free, that’s good cause I’m sure your not too willing to spend money on something after all the products you have already tried that have not done anything for you. Check out the featured money making strategy on the first page of this blog, this really helped me greatly. Big thanks to this blog.
I want to establish my own internet business. I hope you can help me guys. Better if you can give me links for training mediums on how to start it.
I found a lot of informationn here, I found the affiliate marketing section quite helpful.
Also the site has a free e-book, written by a super affiliate marketer – I advise you should get your information on this stuff from those who are successful.
I want to start my own business on the internet, create my own site and sell girl type products on it. How do I do that, where can I find suppliers and where can I get help to finance it?
Do a search for "drop-shippers" and the type of products you want to sell. Also make sure to learn all you can about Internet Marketing while your at it. The Easy part is finding the products and building the website, the hard part is marketing your business so that people find it and discover it.
Hello! I’m doing a little project that I need to write about and need to get some ideas. If you had access to all the internet bandwidth you could possibly think of and had all the server equipment and firewalls you could possibly need, what kind of Internet business would YOU set up?
BTW, i do not want to see anything related to "porn" because that’s not something that i’m allowed to write about =). Thanks for responding!
Wow…Thats is a tuff question considering all of the internet businesses already in action. Personally I would probably create a Virtual Reality Business in which people could interact completely in a virtual world with economy, money, government, voting etc….The users could create their own world and invite other to join as career people in their world…even conduct interviews. I’m talking a lot of work here for this to become a reality….and a lot of time someone would have to invest in the program. You could get very creative with this concept. (""MAC"") Nobody can steal my idea now! :p lol I officially claim it as my own! (MAC) VIRTUAL MAC WORLD!
I want to start a internet business or home business to earn more money. Please suggest a honest company. If you have any other suggestion for business.
read this article. it was written by a board member of an American company, to help others from getting scammed.
Do you need to have a lot of money on hand to start up an active internet business or is having the good idea the main thing? How do you get started?
I think I have an innovative idea for a new internet company but I don’t know to much about how to go about actually doing it yet.
Great question! It’s one that puzzle a lot of people on the net.
Starting an Internet marketing business is one of the lowest entry price point businesses you can start. Lets think for a moment.
If you started a small franchised. Your minimum cost would fall in the range of 15k-25k. Lets say you started a middle to large franchise, you are looking at at least 75k- 350k and up.
Lets look at starting an Internet marketing business. At bare minimum you need an domain name, and hosting account. You could obtain a domain name from godaddy.com for about $15 bucks a year. You could get your hosting from hostgator.com for about $10 bucks a month.
Now the last part of this puzzle involve getting knowledge about Internet marketing. You could get free information from doing a search on google.com. However I’ll tell you not all free information is worthy information.
You could also invest a small amount in a proven guide. One that will give you a good starting point with proven methods for success. I used this guide http://internetmarketingnewbieguide.com … which helped me achieved the level of success that I was able to build on.
One last bit of advice. You will find different information, which in all practically terms work. However, it will only work if you put it action.
Hope this all helped.
To your success,
I am working on starting a business from home both local and internet. I do woodwork and art, woodburning, charcoal drawing, etc. I will not have any employees. Other than a DBA what will I have to have before I can start this business?
You might want to check with your local Chamber of Commerce to get the best answers for your area. And also some useful contacts.
You might also look into something like CafePress where you can offer your designs online on tshirts, mugs, posters, stickers, greeting cards, calendars. They will take the orders, handle the credit cards, make the items, ship them, handle returns, etc. They also advertise you well. For each item that is sold with your design you can get a couple of dollars.

You might also check into the CafePress forums. Some people (like me) have lots of ideas for witty sayings and such but no artwork to go with them. You can make a side business selling simple doodle-art to the other shopkeepers to go with their design ideas.
I wanted to order some furniture from an online business that advertised on a local site. I cannot find any reviews on this company. Where should I look. I would mention the name but I think that is against the rules. Please help me to educate myself on researching internet businesses and what to look for. Thank you.
Search on google
I just recently started a work-from-home internet business, and I’m wondering if there are any tips or tricks to getting more traffic to my site? I don’t know alot of people that are interested personally, so I have to find prospects elsewhere. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Getting traffic is a combination of a lot of things. The key to success is to create great content that visitors want to use, search engines will love and other websites will naturally link to. Of course, it’s easier said than done.
You can use pay per click advertising in the search engines to reach audiences looking for your products. You can use Google Adwords http://www.google.com/adwords or Yahoo http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com
Here are some shoestring marketing ideas that can help you get the visitors you need at the least cost possible:
1. Create the best content you can with the best products you can possibly offer. Your content is your best advertisement – if visitors love your content, then they will go back and spread the word to others.
2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important — and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. Get a Recommend this Site script from websites such as cgiscripts.com and similar directories of scripts. Some even go as far as giving incentives to those who recommend the site to their friends. If only 10 people go to your site, but these 10 people invite 10 more – that’s additional traffic that you get for FREE!

Big Nose Bird Recommend this Site http://bignosebird.com/carchive/birdcast.shtml
CGI Resource Index http://cgi.resourceindex.com/Programs_and_Scripts/Perl/Website_Promotion/Recommend_Site/
Hostscripts http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Site_Recommendation/index.html
3. Rank well in the search engines (organic search results, not the pay per click). SEs can be a big source of traffic. The key is to create the best content in your niche. If you have good content, other websites will gladly link to you and offer your site as a resource to their audience. Check the on-page factors and be sure to get linked from authority sites in your topic area.
If you are going to read only one piece on search engine optimization, I suggest you read Brett Tabke of WebmasterWorld.com’s "Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone: 26 steps to 15k a day." http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2010.htm
4. Send out press releases. While outfits charge as much as $650 per release, there are free press release submission places on the Web. Press releases allow you to (a) attract media attention; (b) get more back links to your website without sending each website an email request; and (c) get more visibility especially if your press release gets in Google News or Yahoo News.

5. Submit articles. Write articles and submit them to websites accepting author submissions. You get exposure for your business; establishes you as an authority in your field, and allows you to get backlinks for your website. If 50 websites publish your article and it contains a link back to your website, then you easily get 50 links from a single article. The more links you have, the greater your chances for increasing your search engine rankings.
