Couple of things I want to share. The most common scenario to start a business is: out of work, lots of time and ideas at hand and bills coming in. This case has 2 types of exits: either get a job or establish a business.

But, to establish a business you need to invest money in it. Even though it’s an internet business, it still needs: website, products, social media marketing, search engine optimization etc etc.

So, I can suggest to become a freelancer until you get some seed money for your business.
www.oDesk.com is a great place to start. There are others: www.guru.com, www.freelancer.com, www.elance.com.

Then, create a website (if you’re going to offer your own products / services as a business) or – sign up as an affiliate marketer and create all sorts of social media and social bookmarking accounts.

You will need to make it work: so investment is necessary.

Nothing happens over night I dont care what it is. My Online businesses started off as pure crap and I had to work 2 full time jobs. But that was 3 years ago. Wow…Thats is a tuff question considering all of the internet businesses already in action. Personally I would probably create a Virtual Reality Business in which people could interact completely in a virtual world with economy,money, government, voting etc….The users could create their own world and invite other to join as career people in their world…even conduct interviews. Starting an Internet marketing business is one of the lowest entry price point businesses you can start. Lets think for a moment.

If you started a small franchised. Your minimum cost would fall in the range of 15k-25k. Lets say you started a middle to large franchise, you are looking at at least 75k- 350k and up.

Lets look at starting an Internet marketing business. At bare minimum you need an domain name, and hosting account. You could obtain a domain name from godaddy.com for about $15 bucks a year. You could get your hosting from hostgator.com for about $10 bucks a month.

Now the last part of this puzzle involve getting knowledge about Internet marketing. You could get free information from doing a search on google.com. However I’ll tell you not all free information is worthy information.

One last bit of advice. You will find different information, which in all practically terms work. However, it will only work if you put it action.

You might also look into something like CafePress where you can offer your designs online on tshirts, mugs, posters, stickers, greeting cards, calendars. They will take the orders, handle the credit cards, make the items, ship them, handle returns, etc. They also advertise you well. For each item that is sold with your design you can get a couple of dollars.

You might also check into the CafePress forums. Some people (like me) have lots of ideas for witty sayings and such but no artwork to go with them. You can make a side business selling simple doodle-art to the other shopkeepers to go with their design ideas.
